Yes I’ve downloaded it. Maybe I was a bit over-ambitious – I tried to create a virtual ICT suite with a virtual me in it so I could leave little animations for cover teachers to show the kids – I personally found aspects of it easy and powerful and other aspects impenetrable. All in all not as easy as the site makes out IMO.

Animation Community: 1 year, 8 months agoHere in New Zealand at Kapiti College, I have just had a Level 1 Media Studies Course approved for 2011 that includes a unit of work on animation. Plan is for the students to create a short animation using Macs. Any advice? Help? Assistance?

Do you know Incomptech as well Brendan? It is the best site I have come across so far for royalty free music and is constantly being added to. This music is the music library that is in the wonderful animation prog Zu3d.

Hadn’t come across Incomptech or Zu3D. Have checked them both out and Incomptech will be very useful. I like the Zu3D software, but we use Digital Blue cameras and the software that comes with them, which is pretty good. The children love the various special effects available!

Animation Community: 1 year, 8 months agowe’re in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with an ambitious group of teachers & youth. 38 youth, 5 teachers with the goal of producing 5 x 60-second hand-drawn animated shorts in two short days. yikes …

This is a serious problem that needs addressing – I’ve had this problem in the cretaing media group too that was why I put the vimeo group in the header – but that’s not an option here…
