Have just seen a preview of Mark Cousins’ The Story of Film: an Odyssey, a 15-part series which starts on Saturday 3 September on More4 at 2115. There will also be a tie-in of 15 classic movies on FilmFour.

Here’s a summary of Black Swan lesson with my adult class. Used it to introduce them to a holistic key concepts way of thinking about film. Widely divergent views of the film which seem to me to be related to Bordwell & Thompson’s 4 levels of meaning.
