I notice that my last ”what’s new?” comment was some seven months ago – nothing since! The reason is that I have stepped down from being Chair of MEA after the two years i committed to doing, and have thankfully handed over to Pete Fraser. I am now embarking on a PhD to investigate what pre-school children may be learning about narrative and other aspects of texts, from their film and TV viewing.
